Dear Church Leaders,

Tadmor is unable to run many of its normal summer programs due to regulations resulting from the Coronavirus and Covid-19. If you did not get the email with the full explanation, click here. We have taken the liberty to move your group registration over to the summer of 2021 and kept the price the same. Consider your church "pre-registered" if you will. If you would like to move in a different direction, please fill out this group form. In the meantime, we came up with some valuable options that we can offer churches this summer. Check them out and get registered.

Here is what YOU CAN do this summer:

  1. One-day camps! We are offering age-specific, one-day camps where you can bring your group out to Tadmor for the day. We will offer programming for your students that will fit within the state guidelines. Plan to get here early and stay late. The cost is $25 per camper, pay at the door. The cost is $25 per camper which pays for lunch, dinner, and s'mores. We have drilled down the price through the use of volunteer staff.
    • Dates: Thursday, July 9th: 3rd-6th graders; Thursday, July 23rd: 6th-8th graders; Thursday, July 30th: 9th-12th graders.
    • We will open camp at 9 AM and close out our program at 9 PM. Our hope is to have a band and a speaker at each session and to program whatever the state will allow. Right now they are allowing day camps to at least do lake swimming, so we have got that!
    • Want to sign up? Fill out this church leader form and distribute this parent/guardian form link and give us a guess as to how many kids you will bring ASAP. Spots will fill up fast!
  2. Mission Trip to Tadmor! Many of you had your church or youth group mission trip canceled this year. What if you were able to do it anyway? Tadmor has been busting at the seams with campers for the last 49 years and is showing the signs of this use. Perhaps this is our "Year of Jubilee" where God allows us to do a massive reset for Tadmor's next season of ministry (see Leviticus 25). While we cannot run overnight camps this summer, we can host volunteer groups. We have put together week-long "mission trips" where groups of up to 25 people can serve in a variety of ways, have some meaningful time as a group, and have a little fun too. These trips run Sunday evening through Friday morning. The base cost for room and board is $95 per person. Additionally, you will need to pick a project at a price point and an area of skill that your group feels called to take on. This is not just for youth groups, any group within the church is invited to tackle one of these trips. Click here for a list of projects and how to get connected. We would love to have your group out here on mission this summer.

More than anything, we are concerned about what this means for you, your church, and your students. This has been a very hard decision to make. While this may not be what any of us expected, we are confident that God has a bigger plan and purpose for your church and students in this season. We encourage you and your students to look for the ways God is working unexpectedly through all of this.

We value our relationship with each of you, and we're thankful for your encouragement and faithful support. Please continue praying for our team as we navigate this change in season.

Sincerely,

James Garner (Maverick)
