What's New at Camp Tadmor
Lakeside Kitchen Remodel
Let the cooking begin! We recently completed the remodel of the Lakeside kitchen and are excited to hear your stories. The process began before Christmas and was completed in January with the desire to open up the area and create an environment that would enhance the cook’s ability to provide hungry mouths with a delicious meal to subside their appetites. With extra counter space, a new oven, open industrial cupboards, resurfaced floor, and a whole new variety of utensils and cooking equipment, we are sure that all who cook in this area will have a greater opportunity to use their skills to bless the men, women, and youth who are attending their retreat.
The Baby Bug
If you want babies, then get married and work full time at Camp Tadmor.
We are bursting with excitement for our newest additions to our families and to the camp. Our program coordinator, Adam, and his wife, Angie, are anticipating the arrival of their first daughter on February 20th. They began working at camp in May of 2010. Joel and Melissa, who have recently taken on the role as guest service managers, began working at camp in October of 2010 and are expecting their first in July. This current trend began with Jeremy Schumacher and his wife, Heather, who set the bar high by producing twins eleven months after they moved to camp.
To sum it up, we are excited for the new little faces that will be hanging around camp this summer and want to extend our congratulations to Joel, Melissa, Adam, and Angie.
Summer progress
With summer just around the corner, we are full swing in preparation for camp and all the fun that goes along with it. We are processing through the Summer Ministry applications and hiring staff members who are committed to serving with excellence, passionate for the church, and desire to help instill campers with the values that we have been shown by Jesus. We recently returned from a recruiting trip to five Christian universities across Oregon where we were able to meet many students who desire to serve Jesus. Please do pray that God would continue to provide the right staff so that we can provide the highest quality program and partnership with the church to disciple students in their faith.
