What's New at Camp Tadmor

Latest Addition: Chris Hoeffner

Coming up on one year we can’t really call him ‘the new guy’, but he is the latest addition to the Tadmor/CB Northwest team. Chris Hoeffner has taken on the role of Operations Assistant and handles a wide and varied set of tasks. He and his wife Sharon relocated from the Spokane area in June of 2008. They, their dog Hildalgo, finicky cats and now baby chicks are enjoying country living. Chris and Sharon enjoy their time in the kitchen together and it seems that the rest of us benefit from that time also, yum! Both have served as part of the summer ministry team in the past and with a summer as a full time staffer under his belt, we are looking forward to a great year 2!

High Ropes Completed: Just Hanging Out

In June of 2008 we completed the construction of our high ropes course. The course was designed with versatility in mind. We have since put hundreds of people through the 60 foot high program tool. The course can handle people of all ages and ability levels. You can isolate certain areas for targeted group work or use the whole course in a circuit manner with the zip line as the finale. We have had as many as 20 people in the trees at one time. Fathers and sons, campers, youth groups and ministry teams have tapped into this stretching activity. We are looking forward to seeing how this unique environment will help us grow in our ability to serve churches. Feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like to bring your group up!

Kitchen Remodel

The kitchen remodel is complete! What was left of the old floor was removed and a new industrial finish was applied. All walls have been painted or water resistant material has been added to every surface from top to bottom. Leak repair, base molding, corner protectors, hand wash sink, appliance stands, thorough purge of utensils and a new organization system complete the overhaul. Sadie was able to create and display some hand crafted pieces of art that tie her whole color scheme and feel of the room together. Thanks to all of you who helped in this process and we can’t wait to show it off the next time you can come up!
